PR Account Executive – Boulder / San Francisco

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Employment type: full-time

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of PR/media relations experience to be considered for this position.Growing PR agency seeks an Account Executive to support a number of accounts in outdoor, active lifestyle and tech. The candidate will have a minimum of 2 years PR experience (agency experience preferred) bring a positive, can-do attitude, be hungry to learn, experiment and improve processes, and demonstrate interest in supporting the agency’s continued growth. The position is based at our downtown Boulder office on Pearl Street.
Accountabilities:
Media Relations (50% of role):
– Build media lists, compile contacts from existing media lists and databases while considering new contacts and appropriate outlets to include in campaign outreach
– Compile materials for media kits; build and maintain online newsrooms
– Participate and execute daily reactive and proactive media outreach for clients
– Launch or execute campaign outreach, including follow-up, while bridging new relationships and reaching new contacts
– Respond with a sense of urgency to all media and client requests and queries
– Plan campaigns with client and supervisor, setting goals and drafting roadmap to achieving desired results
– Consider big picture targets such as broadcast and mainstream consumer media, as well as endemic/vertical titles
– Develop compelling communications and thorough pitch/press materials relevant and of value to selected media targets
– Respond with urgency to all incoming media requests for information, images, product
– Tracking and developing monthly client reports
Writing, Social Media, Blog Management (25%):
– Drafting solid press releases, talk points, pitches, blog posts and more
– Developing social media strategies and editorial calendars; converting raw assets (images, marketing materials) into compelling and fun social media content
– Developing and posting social media messages on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
– Formatting and posting blog posts in WordPress
Operations, Agency Development (25% of role):
– Actively participating in client calls
– Attending client visits, meetings, and media visits
– Participating in team meetings and sharing best practices, successes and learnings
– Participating in idea generation, brainstorming, and providing insight toward new business opportunitiesCandidate Qualifications:
– 2 years proven, results-driven track record in a PR/media relations-specific role, agency preferred
– Understanding of public relations and the roles and responsibilities of a PR professional
– Flexibility to work in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
– Professionally driven to build relationships on behalf of clients
– Ability to think creatively and strategically about individual pitches and campaigns
– Sound judgment and proven problem solving capabilities
– Positive, confident, and personable
– Excellent organization and planning ability

ECHOS Communications seeks an Account Executive to support a number of amazing brands in the cycling industry.
**A minimum of 2 years of media relations experience (agency experience preferred) is required.** Applicants should be avid cyclists with a background in the cycling industry. Those not fully immersed and passionate about cycling need not apply.
The candidate will be an excellent writer, bring a positive, can-do attitude, be hungry to learn, experiment, and improve processes, and demonstrate interest in supporting the agency’s continued growth. The position is based at our Portland office
Broad Role Overview:
Media Relations:
Build media lists, compile contacts from existing media lists and databases, while considering new contacts and appropriate outlets to include in campaign outreach

Required Qualifications:
