Supporting Nonprofit Trail Work and Providing Free Coffee to All
The North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show is near and dear to ECHOS communications. Our roots in the handbuilt bicycle community run deep, and this year we were able to provide support to clients and framebuilder colleagues, and give back to a cycling nonprofit all in one fell swoop. As if that wasn’t enough, we also worked with our friends at Verve Coffee to provide free coffee for everyone attending the show!
First and foremost, our presence at NAHBS was to support the Builders for Builders project– a raffle wherein the winner will receive a fully-custom bike from Argonaut, Mosaic, McGovern, Sklar or Stinner; with all proceeds benefitting the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship.
We started the project last year with leading framebuilders and our industry partners in order to support the SBTS, which builds and maintains trails in the Northern Sierra. These trails are used in the legendary Downieville Classic, Grinduro and Lost and Found gravel and MTB races, but the work of the SBTS extends well beyond that. The group works tirelessly to expand recreational opportunities for all human-powered users in Northern California.
We engaged NAHBS media to secure upcoming coverage of the Builders for Builders raffle, and also hosted the SBTS in-booth where they sold tickets and spread their message.
Next to the SBTS, we hosted Verve Coffee in our mobile REVERB vehicle. Verve is a community-focused roaster out of Santa Cruz who generously agreed to give out hot (and cold) coffee to attendees and exhibitors for of charge, a service vastly appreciated by all who walked into the expo hall.
While the public focused on Verve and the SBTS; we were able to engage attending media, providing brand touchpoints with Mosaic Cycles, Mission Workshop, Floyd’s of Leadville and Helinox. The REVERB mobile unit also housed our private lounge space, where we were able to host meetings with select media and brand representatives, making new connections for ECHOS and our partners past, present and future.
