The challenge

Berlin-based Teufel, Europe’s most established DTC audio brand, selected ECHOS as its PR partner to support its re-launch in the North American Bluetooth speaker market, starting with the introduction of a collection of speakers designed in collaboration with the legendary brand Fender. While competitors like Bose, Sony and JBL were already well established, the Fender x Teufel ROCKSTER collection offered a new sound and look with Teufel’s premium audio and sound quality, and we needed to translate that into awareness, credibility, and sales.

Our mission:

Position the Fender x Teufel ROCKSTER collection as the go-to choice for listeners who value sound quality, design, and heritage over commodity speakers. We needed to secure reviews in top tech and lifestyle outlets, build an affiliate revenue engine, and create always-on presence in best Bluetooth speaker guides that drive purchase decisions year-round.

Approach

We built a comprehensive review and commerce program, landing Fender x Teufel in high-authority tech outlets like Wirecutter, Tom’s Guide, ZDNET, and New Atlas, with reviewers directly comparing the ROCKSTER speakers favorably against Sony and Bose, as well as full feature reviews.

We expanded into lifestyle and outdoor media—including Outside Online’s “9 Outdoor Gear Finds That Earned a Permanent Spot in Our Editors’ Packs”—to position the portable, waterproof ROCKSTER GO 2 as a legit adventure-ready speaker.

To drive measurable performance, we partnered closely with affiliate and commerce editors, building a repeatable pipeline of shopping-linked coverage that has generated over $91300K in tracked revenue. We also nurtured YouTube reviewers and creators to demonstrate sound quality, secure unboxing content, and drive awareness through a roster of videos.

Throughout the year, we maintained an always-on drumbeat across monthly coverage—spanning tech reviews, holiday gift guides, Prime Day sales, and seasonal outdoor gear roundups—ensuring Fender x Teufel stayed visible at every key shopping moment.
