AGV PRESENTS THE 2019 MUGELLO PISTA GP R SPECIALS

Scarperia, 1 June 2019. AGV unveils its Pista GP R special editions for the 2019 Italian Grand Prix. Valentino Rossi and Franco Morbidelli are out on track at Mugello with brand-new celebratory liveries. There are also new colors for Lorenzo Baldassarri, Marco Bezzecchi, Andrea Migno and the Sky Racing Team VR46.

For more than twenty years, the Mugello Grand Prix has been an opportunity for Valentino Rossi to flaunt helmets with brand-new liveries and find an outlet for his imagination. The canvas for these works of art, always different, is the pure carbon fiber shell of the AGV Pista GP R, the top of the range AGV racing model.

Rossi, together with Aldo Drudi, the historic designer of his helmet graphics, has come up with a new and bright livery that interprets the Italian flag motif like never before. The 2019 Mugello Pista GP R features broad brush strokes, with the Italian tricolor that stands out on the top of the shell. The white, red and green are flanked by complementary colors like orange, fluorescent pink, blue and classic yellow. On the back of the helmet, under the spoiler, are the sun and moon with a thin yellow line on a white background; under these, a hand-drawn 46.

The Italian Grand Prix also the perfect occasion for Franco Morbidelli to show off a new AGV jewel. His helmet is a masterpiece of contrasting colors alongside each other, once again made by Drudi . A tribute to the region that hosts the Mugello circuit, the front of the shell flaunts the Giglio, the historic emblem of Florence and Scarperia. The lower weave is the brocade of traditional Renaissance Florence, but with a pop twist. The spoiler bears the phrase Amor ogni cosa vince , a Leonardo Da Vinci aphorism.

The perfect blend of protection, performance and comfort, Pista GP R is the fruit of AGV Extreme Safety. An innovative integrated design protocol that revolutionizes the design method and allows for the inclusion of a superior protection against impact, the exclusive AGV Ultravision, which guarantees a visual field of 190 horizontally and 85 vertically, as well as a cutting-edge design for extreme performance, developed in the wind tunnel for unrivalled aerodynamic efficiency. The AGV Extreme Safety process raises the level of technology in the research and development of helmets and represents a milestone in terms of protective systems for the head.
