Argonaut Cycles GR3

The GR3 combines rowdy enduro-style descending with crit-like acceleration thanks to the revolutionary GravelFirst geometry that connects the rider to terrain like never before. The GR3 represents a major leap forward in gravel bike design. Pair that with a custom-tailored, rider-specific carbon layup, and you ve got a shred-ready gravel bike unlike any other.

Gravelfirst Geometry

From day one, the GR3 was designed to address the needs of the modern gravel cyclist. The core of the GR3 is the GravelFirst geometry, representing a major leap forward in gravel bike design. Argonaut addressed everything found on a typical gravel ride a bit of road, a bit of smooth gravel, a bit of NOT smooth gravel, a bit of single track, and long days out. The GR3 gives ample tire clearance (up to a 50c tire) but with an industry-best 415mm long chainstay, delivering a bike that jumps at every pedal stroke and carves through every turn. The 75mm bottom bracket drop and slack 68.5 front end make the bike fly downhill, skip over ruts, and rip through corners.

Redefining Custom

The concept of customization for Argonaut goes beyond distinct shapes and personalized paint, encompassing a patented molding process perfected over the years. This process liberates the team from the constraints of typical angles, headtube lengths, and chainstay limitations faced by other bicycle manufacturers, signifying a true exploration of the potential inherent in carbon.

The Argonaut custom build process goes beyond geometry, delving into the crucial element of layup. Whether applied to established geometries or customized designs for unique body shapes, riding styles, and requirements, layup combines art and technology to redefine the essence of customization. Strategic alterations in layup patterns provide precise control over stiffness in horizontal, vertical, and torsional directions. Each build is tailored to meet structural objectives and rider profiles, allowing for the addition or removal of layers and adjustments to ply orientation. The raw carbon materials used in their custom bike builds are sourced directly from top-tier suppliers and configured to exact specifications.

Argonaut redefines and fully embraces the essence of true customization through the patented molding process and layups.
