PR Associate Account Executive

Associate Account Executives are essential members of the ECHOS team and support the success of our brand partners. The role works in close partnership with PR Account Coordinators, PR Account Executives, Managers, Directors and VPs; responsibilities include developing press kit materials, writing press releases, developing strong relationships with media, and helping support client communications.

The ideal candidates are excellent writers, creative and strategic thinkers, exceptionally organized, positive, and personable. 

Agency or PR experience is required, as is remote work experience and knowledge of active outdoor lifestyle brands and gear. ECHOS is a fully remote agency with hubs in the Denver metro area and the Pacific Northwest; candidates in Pacific, Mountain, and Central Time Zones are preferred.

Associate Account Executive Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Have three years of relevant experience with a PR or marketing agency, outdoor brand, or similar 
  • Have experience pitching the media and securing press coverage, and can ideally share media coverage you’ve secured for clients
  • Demonstrate serious enthusiasm to be part of the outdoor, active lifestyle and cycling industries, and familiarity with brands and equipment
  • Care about the details - planning, organization, and (especially) writing for both internal and external needs
  • Are creative and can consistently come up with ideas, solutions and especially new pitch angles and campaigns
  • Enjoy writing and possess excellent copywriting skills, and can share samples of your work 
  • Have competency with Google Workspace (G Docs, Sheets, Forms, Mail), and are a quick study on new software
  • Are positive, organized, and personable, with a drive to learn, experiment, improve and take the next career steps at ECHOS

Associate Account Executive Responsibilities
  • Communication Management:
    • Establish and maintain communications with media, creating relationships
    • Copywriting and editing
  • Client Relations:
    • Create client call agendas
    • Actively participate in and bring a point-of-view to client calls
  • Content Development:
    • Develop press kit materials, fact sheets, press releases, and choose image selects
  • Media Relations and Research:
    • Conduct media research, list building and regular maintenance
    • Track media coverage and develop monthly client reports
    • Distribute research projects among interns
  • Agency Support:
    • Maintain files and reports
    • Assist in coordinating and implementing events, interviews, and meetings

PR Account Coordinator

Account Coordinators are critical members of the ECHOS team and in supporting our brand partners. AC’s work in partnership with our Associate Account Executives, Account Executives, Managers, Directors and VPs. Responsibilities include research, product sample management, coverage tracking, reporting and assisting in crafting communications materials.

The ideal candidate for this position will be an excellent writer, bring a positive, can-do attitude, be hungry to learn, experiment, and improve processes, and demonstrate an interest in supporting the agency’s continued growth. Candidates should be ready and excited to actively participate on client and agency team calls. 

Agency or PR experience is required, as is remote work experience and knowledge of active outdoor lifestyle brands and gear. ECHOS is a fully remote agency with hubs in the Denver metro area and the Pacific Northwest; candidates in Pacific, Mountain, and Central Time Zones are preferred.

Account Coordinator Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Have one year of professional experience at a creative agency, outdoor brand or similar
  • Demonstrate serious enthusiasm to be part of the outdoor, active lifestyle and cycling industries, and familiarity with brands and equipment
  • Care about the details - planning, organization, and (especially) writing for both internal and external needs
  • Are self-motivated and comfortable working and driving projects with minimal supervision
  • Are creative and can consistently come up with ideas, solutions, and want to push outside of your comfort zone 
  • Enjoy writing and possess excellent copywriting skills, and can share samples of your work

Account Coordinator Responsibilities Overview:
  • Media Management:
    • Conduct media research and list building.
    • Track media coverage and generate monthly client reports.
    • Participate in team meetings, sharing best practices, successes, and learnings.
  • Content Development:
    • Create drafts and copywriting and editing communications materials
    • Assist in coordinating and implementing events, interviews, and meetings
    • Support all media relations initiatives, including developing creative story angles
    • Maintain and produce support materials such as photos, press kits, and other collateral.
  • Agency Support:
    • Manage product samples.
    • Assist in social media account management.
    • Maintain files and reports.

PR Account Executive

Account Executives are the heartbeat of the agency and play a pivotal role in supporting the brands who’ve selected ECHOS to be their partner. Account Executive candidates will bring three years of
proven experience pitching and placing stories with the media, and can share examples of their work online and/or in print, broadcast, podcasts and social media. Experience identifying influencers, collaborating with them and reporting on influencer campaigns is a plus. 

The AE role collaborates closely with Account Coordinators, Assoc. Account Executives, Managers, Directors, and VPs, and is the lead on multiple brands. Success in this role requires excellence in writing, creative, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, exceptional organizational, leadership qualities, and the ability to effectively manage time and resources. 

Account Executives create and drive pitch calendars for multiple brand partners, craft press releases and press kits, create and nurture relationships with the media and our clients, support media and industry events, and contribute to the strategies that support ECHOS’ overall brand portfolio.

This is not a ‘sales job.’ We are not seeking a person with sales experience outside of the creative agency space - you must live the culture we serve, know the language, actively participate in the active outdoor, you must embrace relationships, and create mind-blowing strategies in order to gain trust with the brands we aspire to align with. 

Your Background & Focus: 

  • Proven track record for global agency relationships/sales and the unwavering commitment to having authenticity and a brand first over the sale mentality 
  • Existing contacts with global brands and the ability to work build trust and create relationships
  • Identify and engage with global brands and offer solutions for brand communications and community engagement
  • Generate new global business while creating relationships with brands that align with ECHOS
  • Revenue goals of $2M per year
  • Report and work directly with the agency CEO/Director
