Since 1981, a passion for pure mountain biking has been shaping their bikes. Their latest frame design, named the Womble after the iconic Womble Trail in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, pays tribute to this enduring love. Crafted to excel in all aspects of trail riding, the Womble is primed for challenging climbs, exhilarating descents, and everything in between.
Featuring a progressive 29″ geometry and a 140mm travel fork, the Womble is a 1x-specific frame with generous clearance for 2.6″ tires. With a 67-degree headtube angle, a 75-degree seat tube angle, and a spacious reach dimension, the Womble strikes a balance between uphill efficiency and downhill prowess on any terrain.
The oversized, double-butted front triangle ensures the stiffest and strongest front end of any Moots offroad bike to date. This added strength not only supports the increased travel of a 140mm fork but also provides ample stability for riders when tackling challenging trails.

Since the early 90s, Moots has been a proud supporter of their local IMBA Chapter, the Routt County Riders. Their dedication to trail advocacy extends beyond the local level, with notable contributions such as the creation of the renowned “Trail Maintenance Bike,” which garnered acclaim at the 2013 North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Denver.
In 2024, Moots is once again partnering with IMBA to offer a custom Moots Womble adorned with their iconic logos from over the years. This one-of-a-kind anodized masterpiece will be raffled off, with proceeds aimed at furthering trail development and accessibility for all. Thanks to collaborations with esteemed brands like 5DEV, SRAM, ROCK SHOX, CHRIS KING, ENVE, and WTB, this project embodies their commitment to advancing the sport and community of mountain biking.
