Nuyarn Merino is a technology that drafts superfine merino wool with a high-performance filament this breeds ultra-lightweight and durable fabric that outperforms any natural fibre on the market. There is no other method on the market to get wool this light in a fabric without risking the garment basically disintegrating off your back after the first wear. Because Nuyarn is drafted and not “twisted”, it absorbs better in the vapour state, managing moisture more akin to as it does in its loftier fibre state (or on the sheep’s back), Nuyarn Merino is 5x faster drying, 8.8x more durable and 85% has more elasticity/stretch than conventional ring or core-spun merino (industry standard). On a like-for-like basis, Nuyarn Technology uses 30% less raw materials and 73% less energy and outlasts traditional merino garments by up to 8.8x. Nuyarn Technology spins at speeds of up to 250m per minute. This is up to 16.7x faster than the maximum 15m per minute spinning speed of traditional machines common in the industry. This is one of the biggest contributors to our ability to do more with a smaller production footprint, lower energy, and with less raw materials.

Nuyarn is a mechanical process (vs. chemical), and the benefits last for the entire lifetime of the garment.
