The Orange Seal sponsored riders had a strong showing at US Nationals, arriving in Winter Park ready to race. Orange Seal sponsors a variety of racers, all of whom are available for comment or interview as needed. With ample time spent on the podium, Orange Seal is proud not only of their athletic performance but of the family environment created by these athletes.
Savilia Blunk took her first win of the weekend in the Women s U23 XC, Durango-based Blunk finished over a minute ahead of second place for a dominant victory. In the Men s race Kye Cordes finished 13th in a strong field. In the Pro Short Track race, Blunk took the win, making her double National Champion.
Nationals was really special for me, not just because of the results on paper. For the first time I represent a company that believes in me, maybe even more than I believe in myself. That has been huge this year and I m very proud to be working with Orange Seal and provide them with two new national titles. This season has been a roller coaster with mechanical issues in Europe and a slow recovery from a big crash this spring. It feels good to regain my confidence and I can t wait for the remainder of the season beamed Blunk.
Teammate Hannah Finchamp cracked the top 10 with 8th place in a closely-fought and thrilling race. In the Pro Men s Short Track, Cole Paton climbed the podium in third place with Californian teammate Alex Wild in 8th place.
Finchamp finished 7th in the Pro Women s XC. The Men s race saw more solid results from Orange Seal riders. Alex Wild and Cole Paton took 5th and 6th respectively, while Payson McElveen rounded out the top 10 in a grueling race. Junior rider Maddex Thiel took 4th in the 13-14 XC race.
Orange Seal believed in Savilia and I as individuals coming out of 2020, a year without any results. To now perform for them and our other sponsors means the world. Savilia and I feed off each other and get front row seats to the dedication we put into this sport on and off the bike. It s so special when either one of us has a good ride.
