ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – Public Relations – Active Lifestyle & Outdoor

Candidates based the Boulder / Denver area preferred; will consider fully remote for highly qualified professionals

Two to three years of media relations experience required.

ECHOS Communications, a brand communications agency specializing in supporting cycling, outdoor, active lifestyle and consumer tech clients, seeks an Account Executive to support multiple outdoor and active lifestyle brands. The position is based in Boulder, Colorado.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer, be able to demonstrate an ability to create relationships with the media and place stories, and be ready to roll up her or his sleeves to lead research, account administration, and reporting.

The position is based in Boulder, Colorado – we are currently 100% remote and will be returning to the office as soon as possible.

Account Executive Responsibilities Overview:
Establishing and Maintaining Communications with Media
Copywriting and editing
Developing press kit materials, fact sheets, press releases, choosing image selects, etc.
Media research and list building
Client and Agency Social Media Account Management
Distributing research projects among interns.
Maintain files and reports
Track media coverage and develop monthly client reports
Assist in coordinating and implementing events, interviews and meetings
Support all media relations initiatives including developing creative story angles
Maintain and produce support materials such as photos, press kits, and other collateral
Actively participating in client communications and agency calls
Attend client visits, meetings, and media visits

Qualifications:
Two to three years of media relations experience (required)
Knowledge of the outdoor / active lifestyle industry and familiarity with the media landscape
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Professionally driven to build relationships on clients’ behalf
Ability to think creatively and strategically about individual pitches and campaigns
Sound judgment and proven problem-solving capabilities
Positive, confident, and personable
Solid writing skills and a sharp eye for detail
Comfortable with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Software

ACCOUNT COORDINATOR

ECHOS Communications (www.echoscomm.com) seeks an Account Coordinator to support multiple brands. We are a brand communications agency focusing on cycling, outdoor, lifestyle and consumer tech clients. We offer world-class brand communications, PR, marketing, and advertising services spanning all channels. From media relations to corporate communications strategies to flawless custom event execution, we are known for exceeding client expectations and delivering above their objectives.

Account Coordinators work in partnership with our Account Executives and group VPs on our geographically distributed team to deliver authentic communications for our clients. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) research, product sample management, coverage tracking, reporting and assisting in crafting communications materials. Agency experience is strongly preferred, as is significant knowledge of cycling, outdoor and lifestyle brands and equipment.

Media research, list building, research and development

Product Sample Management
Assisting in Social Media Account Management

Assist in coordinating and implementing events, interviews and meetings

Participate in team meetings; sharing best practices, successes, and learnings

Familiarity with CRM and database management software, familiarity with Social Media Aggregation Software
Knowledge and interest in outdoor lifestyle (cycling, snow sports, motorsports), tech industry trends and events, and consumer products.
