Account Executive / Senior Account Executive

Two years of media relations experience are required for Account Executive; 3-5 years for Senior Account Executive

Account Executives / Senior Account Executives support multiple outdoor and active lifestyle brands.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer, be able to demonstrate an ability to create relationships with the media and place stories, and be ready to roll up her or his sleeves to lead research, account administration, and reporting.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Establishing and Maintaining Communications with Media
  • Copywriting and editing
  • Developing press kit materials, fact sheets, press releases, choosing image selects, etc.
  • Media research and list building
  • Client and Agency Social Media Account Management
  • Distributing research projects among interns.
  • Maintain files and reports
  • Track media coverage and develop monthly client reports
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing events, interviews and meetings
  • Support all media relations initiatives including developing creative story angles
  • Maintain and produce support materials such as photos, press kits, and other collateral
  • Actively participating in client communications and agency calls
  • Attend client visits, meetings, and media visits

Qualifications:

  • Media relations experience (required)
  • Knowledge of the outdoor / active lifestyle industry and familiarity with the media landscape
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Professionally driven to build relationships on clients’ behalf
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically about individual pitches and campaigns
  • Sound judgment and proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Positive, confident, and personable
  • Solid writing skills and a sharp eye for detail
  • Comfortable with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Software

Account Coordinator

Account Coordinators work in partnership with our Account Executives and group VPs. Responsibilities include research, product sample management, coverage tracking, reporting and assisting in crafting communications materials. Agency experience is strongly preferred, as is significant knowledge of cycling, outdoor and lifestyle brands and equipment.

Our ideal candidate will be an excellent writer, bring a positive, can-do attitude, be hungry to learn, experiment, and improve processes, and demonstrate an interest in supporting the agency’s continued growth. This is a fully remote position. Candidates in our hubs of Portland, Oregon and the Denver / Boulder metro areas are encouraged to apply.

  • Intermediate competency with Google Suite / Microsoft Office Software
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign and other design suites
  • Familiarity with CRM and database management software, familiarity with Social Media Aggregation Software
  • Knowledge and interest in outdoor lifestyle (cycling, snow sports, motorsports), tech industry trends and events, and consumer products.

GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT  

This is not a ‘sales job.’ We are NOT seeking a person with sales experience outside of the creative agency space - you must live the culture we serve, know the language, actively participate in the active outdoor, you must embrace relationships, and create mind-blowing strategies in order to gain trust with the brands we aspire to align with. 

Your Background & Focus: 

  • Proven track record for global agency relationships/sales and the unwavering commitment to having authenticity and a brand first over the sale mentality 
  • Existing contacts with global brands and the ability to work build trust and create relationships
  • Identify and engage with global brands and offer solutions for brand communications and community engagement
  • Generate new global business while creating relationships with brands that align with ECHOS
  • Revenue goals of $2M per year
  • Report and work directly with the agency CEO/Director  
  • Multilingual preferred
